Many personal data, including your medical data, can only be retrieved with your DigiD app. This is due to the high requirements set by the government for data exchange.
The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport and healthcare providers have been instructed by the Dutch Data Protection Authority to maintain the correct, high reliability level for the exchange of health data.
The result is that logging in via DigiD is only possible via the app where you scan your ID proof once. Logging in with an SMS code is therefore not possible. Everyone who works with medical data, including us, is bound by these regulations.
