What is the National Switch Point?

The National Switch Point is a secure network that healthcare providers can connect to.
Through this network they can consult medical data about their patients in each other's systems. Only with the patient's consent.
Bij het LSP worden geen medische gegevens opgeslagen. De medische gegevens blijven in het dossier bij de huisarts of bij de apotheek.Als u bijvoorbeeld (met spoed) naar een andere arts of apotheek moet gaan. Maar ook als u bij een specialist in het ziekenhuis of een andere zorginstelling komt. Dan is het belangrijk dat zorgverleners uw belangrijkste medische gegevens kunnen bekijken. Dat kan alleen als u daar van tevoren toestemming voor heeft gegeven.
