Digital care offers enormous opportunities. But as long as some people cannot participate, we are not fully utilizing that value. In this session, you will discover how we can design digital care so that everyone can participate. Including residents who are less digitally skilled, less confident, or less well connected to the healthcare system.
Digital care can widen the gap if we do not take differences into account. Therefore, it is important to think not only from the patient's perspective, but from the resident's: someone who lives, works, provides informal care, sometimes receives care, and sometimes needs support. A standalone app, training, or tool rarely offers the sustainable support that residents need.
Accessible digital care requires a coherent, regional approach in which healthcare organizations, the social domain, libraries, and initiatives such as the Digital Care Helpdesk find each other. Together, we make a difference.
You will go home with concrete insights and practical tools to get started with accessible digital care in your region or organization. An approach in which cross-domain collaboration is essential and the resident is truly at the center.

What do you do with patients who bring AI into the consulting room? How should healthcare deal with AI?
AI offers great opportunities for healthcare, but only if people are actually able and willing to use it. In doing so, we must remain vigilant to ensure that AI does not unintentionally exacerbate existing health disparities. At Helpdesk Digitale Zorg, we hear daily about the challenges patients, clients, and healthcare providers face regarding portals, apps, and the ever-growing role of AI.
In this session, we share the key barriers and success factors we see in practice. We show you how clear explanations, human guidance, and attention to digital inclusion determine whether AI truly adds value.
We provide you with concrete insights into how working with AI solutions in healthcare becomes truly usable and inclusive, thereby making healthcare future-proof. For both patient and professional.
