When exchanging medical information with a healthcare provider, such as a general practitioner or hospital, it is legally required to determine the identity of the person based on BSN.

To ensure security, the Dutch government only allows this with DigiD. A provider of a PGO may therefore not deviate from this.

In this way, the PGO supplier ensures that you can log in safely and that your medical data is protected as best as possible.
