Maternity care in the Netherlands is making significant strides in the digital exchange of medical data. With the VIPP Babyconnect subsidy program, the foundation has been laid for data availability in maternity care. It is not about a single application, but about agreements that enable systems to communicate with each other.
With the termination of Babyconnect (Dec. 2025), the foundation has been transferred to the Sustainable Information System for Maternity Care (DIG)↗.
Within the DIG, maternity care parties collaborate to further maintain and develop it. Blinkz plays a coordinating role in this.

A viewer is an additional screen within the healthcare provider's own healthcare information system. As a healthcare provider, this allows you to retrieve a client's data from other healthcare providers. This means you do not have to search for the correct information, but can view the most recent and relevant data in one clear overview.
